The search is on for a dream worthy bed!
If you follow us on Instagram you may or may not know that we have recently sold our house and we are on the move! We currently live about 30 mins away from Sienna and Tate’s school which means I spend about 3 hours a day out of the house on the school run! Its a killer! We could have changed schools but Sienna suffers from anxiety and a school change would totally upset her world. A move was really the only option. Not to mention we will be much closer to Chris’s work and family and friends. We are so excited and can’t wait. We have had an offer accepted on a house and whilst it needs a fair bit doing to it, it is all totally livable and we can take our time to make it our perfect family home!
One of the first things we are wanting to do is the bedrooms. The children’s rooms will be the first thing and then our bedroom. We really want a new bed. It has been a good few years since we had a new bed and we have never really splurged on a decent bed that will last us. Chris really wants a Superking as our current king size bed isn’t big enough when we are joined by our little people nearly every night. I am living in hope they might want to sleep in their new rooms and think a king size is big enough, i guess we will have to wait and see who wins that battle.
Our current bed is a wooden frame and whilst it is lovely, it has seen better days and I would really love to go something fabric this time around. They just look so cosy and inviting and add warmth to a room. Mine and Chris’ taste is quite modern and minimal and this can sometimes look a bit cold. I want to make sure we add lots of textures to the new house to create that warm and homely atmosphere whilst still being true to our own taste. So with that being said here are my top 5 picks for a dream worthy bed.
Top 5 Dream Worthy Beds
I love the mix of velvet with metal legs on this bed. It still has a contemporary vibe yet the velvet adds a touch of luxury and comfort. I think this is my favourite.
This bed is quite traditional, I love the darker grey and the tufted headboard.
This bed has clean lines and Scandinavian vibes. The fabric also looks very durable which is an added bonus when you have little people.
There is something about a sleigh bed. It just feels so grand, and this one from Next has added easily accessible storage which always comes in handy.
Dwell – Cavendish storage bed
This bed by Dwell is a fab mix of traditional and contemporary. It looks so inviting like the bed will hug you!
Which one is your favourite? Do you prefer a none textured bedframe, can you recommend a bed company?
